A Page for Poetry

What do you do with all the poems that you write…

Do they linger forgotten and unloved in notepads in boxes under beds?

Do they gather dust between words over the years of being unread?

Yes, and yes. My poems do live unread in notepads that I stack in boxes that I shove under my bed or store on top of wardrobes. What else am I meant to do with them? What do you do with them?

I just write and write and writNow I have this blog, this space, this open book that I can do whatever I like with, access anywhere or share with anyone and so I thought “why don’t you display them here?”. So I’m blowing the dust off my poems, polishing them a little, pulling them out from underneath my bed and proudly displaying them. You can find them here, take a read

I’ve got poems about DIck Pics but also about how Edinburgh makes me feel, I’ve got a new poem about being an anxious writer but a writer nonetheless. I’ve got a poem that tells you how to be sad, and another about feeling out of sync with life. Maybe a poem will resonate with you, maybe only a single line, maybe you’ll laugh and maybe you won’t. I’d love for you to give them a read and let me know what you think.

I’ll keep writing poems and adding them here as and when I think they’re ready to display, so come back often, you might find something new and shiny when you do.

Read my poems here

Thanks for reading,

Dominique
